Mar 22 2017 our red oak install with 1 coat of nordic seal followed by bona traffic hd extra matte turned out beautifully. I decided i wanted a matte finish and i also decided not to sand to raw wood and refinish the floors. Gone are the days of high gloss hardwood floors so reflective they look wet to the touch. Thanks perhaps to the scandinavians and a bit of good old fashioned practicality matte wood finishes.
